Teens 12 to 15 Can Now Get COVID-19 Vaccine

On May 12, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) gave the green light to the first COVID-19 vaccine for adolescents ages 12 to 15. There are around 17 million people ages 12 to 15 in the United States. Today, FDA expanded the EUA for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine for the prevention of #COVID19 to include adolescents 12-15 years of age. “This news of excellent vaccine efficacy is very encouraging for pregnant and breastfeeding women, who were left out of the initial COVID-19 vaccine trials,” Edlow said in a press release. Everyone 12 years and older is now eligible for a #COVID19 vaccine!
